Bernardo loves visiting his grandfather, who lives in a stone house on a hilltop near Barcelona. In the warmth of the dawn, the boy sits cross-legged on the dusty ground in front of his wrinkled, beautiful grandfather and listens to him play the guitar. One day, in a hushed and raspy voice, Grandfather tells him a story. “Bernardo, when I was your age, my father decided I should become a Torero.” And then his grandfather reveals the biggest secret of his life.
