Princess Sophia receives a flute, the shimmering silver enchants her from the moment she opens the case. Sophia quickly learns to play, and her music grows more beautiful each day. Then, one afternoon, her father, the king, marches into her room and says, “It is not proper for a princess to play the flute. I no longer wish to hear your music in my castle.” Heartbroken, Sophia begins practicing under the shade of the linden tree. But then, an unexpected turn of events changes her life forever.
